The Illinois Judges Association consists of over 1250 current and retired judges. IJA Welcomes New Members & Celebrates Retirement
IJA – Pro Bono Committee – February 2025 Spotlight The Honorable Daniel B. Malone As is our custom, the members of the IJA Pro Bono Committee pause to recognize the many and varied contributions of the Honorable Judge Daniel B. Malone, presiding judge of the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Judge Malone was appointed by the Supreme Court of Illinois as a judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County on February 24, 2009. He won election to the seat in November 2010 and has been twice retained for his position, first in 2016, and most recently in 2022. Since his appointment to the bench, Judge Malone has presided over cases in the First Municipal District, including the Traffic Division and Housing Court. In 2013, Judge Malone was reassigned to the Probate Division where he presided over Minor Guardianship and Disabled Adult Guardianship and the Decedents’ Estate calls.
