Honorable Daniel L. Jasica

The Honorable Daniel L. Jasica serves as an Associate Judge of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois, serving the residents of Lake County. Since his initial appointment by the judges of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit on August 25, 2014, Judge Jasica has earned reappointment in 2015, 2019, and 2023, reflecting the confidence of his colleagues in his judicial temperament, legal knowledge, and commitment to the fair administration of justice.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Judge Jasica pursued academic excellence throughout his education. He graduated summa cum laude from Texas Christian University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law in 1991.

Judge Jasica began his legal career in private practice, where he worked from 1991 to 1997, developing a broad range of litigation experience. He later joined the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he rose to the position of Chief Deputy State’s Attorney. Throughout his distinguished legal career, he has handled complex legal matters involving commercial litigation, information technology, intellectual property, computer law, and other sophisticated business disputes.

In addition to his work in the trial courts, Judge Jasica has extensive appellate experience and is admitted to practice law in both Illinois and Texas. His diverse professional background has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the legal system and the evolving issues facing modern courts.

As an Associate Judge, Judge Jasica is assigned to the Civil Division, where he presides over Chancery and Mortgage Foreclosure matters. In this role, he manages a wide range of civil cases and is recognized for his thoughtful analysis, efficiency, and dedication to ensuring access to justice for all litigants.

Judge Jasica is an active member of the legal community and maintains memberships in both the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. His career reflects a longstanding commitment to public service, professional excellence, and the rule of law.
