Retention

The Retention Committee serves IJA members in the following ways:

• Utilizing media resources and coordinating with Media and other committees to educate the public on the selection and retention process.
• Providing resources, advice, and assistance from the Membership Committee to judges seeking retention. This support is offered at the beginning of the member’s judicial career, at new judge school, and also at education conferences. 
• Promoting cooperation among bar associations, the media, and judicial candidates running for election or retention to create a better-informed electorate.
• Updating and disseminating the resources and handbook to all retention judges.

IJA members can log into the membership portal for information on meeting dates, agendas, minutes, committee members, and other materials.
